В 2016 году я думал на тему защиты докторской по математике на основе материалов кандидатской плюс дополнительные материалы, которые я наработал, занимаясь этим в виде хобби, а не в качестве научного сотрудника. Докторская не получилась из-за неучастия в каком-либо научном коллективе, но получилась хорошая и теперь даже популярная книга «Численные методы решения жестких и нежестких краевых задач».
